What to expect..

In workshops, Jessica shares her approach to nature, which is the foundation of her creative practice. Participants learn meditation painting that focuses on the process and not the outcome. Using a variety of art tools, they respond to the colors, shapes, lights, and textures of their surroundings.

Guiding others in this process, Jessica invites participants to let go of their inner critic that wants a painting to look a certain way.  Participant are given a framework they can continue on their own as a creative, contemplative practice.

These workshops are appropriate for creatives and non-creatives alike. They offer new approaches for those with advanced painting skills, but require no previous artistic experience or talent.  It’s a simple but challenging approach that over time becomes more comfortable and familiar, revealing interconnections as the painter deeply engages with their environment and themselves.

“Jessica is an incredibly talented artist who skillfully captures the beauty of nature in her paintings.  I had the opportunity to attend her field session last month and it was a very relaxing, intuitive experience.”

“I attended Jessica's Spring classes and it was my gift to me.  Spending time at beautiful Quinta Mazatlan while exploring my creative side gave me time to slow down and appreciate our natural surrounding.”
