Walking along the boardwalk of the South Padre Island Birding Center the sky was overcast and the water was still and metallic. I remember being in a state of turmoil, comforted by the gentle breeze and the focused hunters. I particularly love the foot rising just beneath the surface of the water. “Great Blue” is a 24” x 36” oil painting on linen from 2023.
