Lark Sparrows, 30” x 48,” oil on linen was painted for an exhibition titled “Sacred Wisdom” for the San Benito Cultural Heritage Museum in 2019. These special little birds are cousins to their more common, invasive house sparrows. I love the way they’re tucked into the corner of light and leaves and branches, part of a much larger story.
